Job Summary

AMR Corp. is seeking a highly skilled Paramedic Educator to join our team. As a Paramedic Educator, you will be responsible for facilitating internal communication between field staff and management, outside agency interface, system status monitoring, facilitating short-term scheduling needs, equipment and supply maintenance, and other operational support functions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Training and Development: Make recommendations to the Clinical Education Manager to improve various aspects of the N.E.O.P. onboarding/training and QA/QI programs.
  • Communication: Communicate company protocols, procedures, and standards of excellence through exemplary daily job performance, attitude, initiative, and demeanor.
  • Patient Care: Provide exemplary patient care and customer service.
  • Onboarding: Reinforce and uphold the goals and objectives of the new employee orientation program.
  • Performance Management: Identify, evaluate, and/or remediate individuals who are not meeting and exceeding AMR performance standards.
  • Education and Training: Act as an educational resource for field employees and management.
  • Transition Support: Facilitate the smooth transition for new-hire employees as well as continuing employees with expanding and/or changing job responsibilities.
  • Leadership: Direct, monitor, communicate with, and evaluate all field employees in their assigned area.
  • Liaison: Liaison with patients, public safety agencies, training institutions, hospital personnel, and other system users.
  • Counseling and Guidance: Provide staff counseling and guidance and information regarding AMR operations.
  • ALS Patient Care: Perform direct ALS patient care activities.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Maintain communication with other agencies and departments.
  • Committee Work: Serve on committees with other departments to set policies and generate ideas.
  • Reporting and Project Management: Prepare reports and manage projects as assigned.
  • Disaster Response: Maintain availability during disaster situations or mass casualty incidents and assist in any capacity needed.
  • Education and Support: Support education for AMR crews and fire partners.
Minimum Required Qualifications
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
  • Licensure: State Paramedic License.
  • Driver's License: State Driver's License.
  • Experience: Two years field experience as a Paramedic.
  • EMS Management Experience: Prior EMS management/mentoring/preceptor experience.
