Optical Manufacturing Specialist

As an Optical Trainee at Arka Service, you will be part of a dynamic team responsible for the production of precision optics using advanced grinding and polishing machines. This role offers a unique opportunity to develop your skills in optical manufacturing, working closely with experienced engineers and technicians.
Key Responsibilities:
Learn to operate various grinding and polishing machines to produce high-quality optics.
Develop expertise in reading and interpreting technical drawings and work instructions.
Collaborate with the engineering team to monitor process controls and optimize manufacturing processes.
Assist in maintaining productivity and efficiency, ensuring timely delivery of products.
Work with other technicians to develop basic machining and manufacturing skills.
Comply with all environmental, health, and safety requirements.
Clean machinery and maintain a clean work environment.
Support quality calibration to maintain compliance.
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
Attention to detail and organizational skills.
Basic knowledge of optical materials.
Ability to perform problem-solving tasks.
Strong math aptitude, including trigonometry and geometry.
Ability to maintain flexibility and assist others as needed.
Comfortable working in a lab environment.
EHS/Environmental Requirements:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to communicate, listen to and interpret instructions, operate tools and/or machinery with hands and arms, and remain stationary for extended periods. The employee will use protective equipment to work with chemicals, move between workstations, reach and replace equipment, and move items weighing up to 25 lbs.
