Position Overview:
This role, reporting to the Chief Operating Officer (COO), collaborates closely with the COO and the Territorial Manager for Acute Care and Allied Health. The focus is on addressing client and patient needs within the designated regional area while identifying program challenges and opportunities for enhancement. Responsibilities include establishing regional program objectives and contributing to the evaluation of program delivery effectiveness.
The Manager of Regional Acute Care Services plays a pivotal role in executing the strategic goals of the Government of Northwest Territories by ensuring the consistent provision of high-quality emergency and acute care services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement and monitor the delivery of acute care services in the region.
- Provide comprehensive management of programs including Emergency Services, In-Patient Care, Pharmacy, and Midwifery within the designated region.
- Engage in cross-territory initiatives to foster program development across the territory.
Qualifications:
Typically, candidates will possess a Baccalaureate in Nursing, complemented by two (2) years of management or supervisory experience, along with three years of recent practice in an acute care environment. Eligibility for registration with RNANTNU is required.
