Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team at Pioneers Medical Center. As a Respiratory Therapist, you will be responsible for administering safe and competent respiratory care to patients, with a focus on specialty areas such as emergency, pediatric, geriatric, and critical care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality respiratory care services to patients, including ventilation, medication administration, and patient assessment.
  • Monitor and maintain accurate records of patient care, including documentation of procedures and patient outcomes.
  • Verify physician orders and ensure that all respiratory care procedures are performed in accordance with department policy and procedure.
  • Provide effective communication and report to healthcare team members, including physicians, nurses, and other respiratory therapists.
  • Participate in department in-services, meetings, and patient care rounds to stay up-to-date on best practices and new developments in respiratory care.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans that meet the unique needs of each patient.
  • Perform other duties as assigned, including assisting with patient education and training, and participating in quality improvement initiatives.
Requirements
  • Graduation from a two-year AMA-approved School for Respiratory Care.
  • Passing score on the NBRC entry-level examination.
  • Colorado State License to perform respiratory care.
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
  • At least six months of working experience in a hospital setting.
Work Environment

This position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with frequent interruptions and a high level of concentration and accuracy. The successful candidate will be able to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to providing high-quality patient care.
