Compensation: $23.75/hr
Shift: 2nd Shift, Monday to Friday, 2:30 PM - 11:00 PM
Key Responsibilities:
- Interpret engineering blueprints and accurately measure to establish pipe layouts and welding strategies.
- Select appropriate welding equipment and techniques based on project specifications.
- Assemble and install various metal pipes and fittings, working with both carbon steel and stainless steel.
- Secure pipes to structures using clamps, brackets, and hangers, employing hand tools effectively.
- Utilize knowledge of metallurgy and geometry to determine necessary equipment and welding methods.
- Prepare and install pipes with fittings and weld joints in accordance with established protocols.
- Thread pipes using threading machines and assemble fittings as required.
- Set up welding components per specifications and actively engage with the manufacturing team to meet production goals.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously while adhering to deadlines.
- Assist in the development of manufacturing procedures and productivity reports as directed by management.
- Operate angle grinders to prepare components for welding.
- Align components using precision tools and clamp pieces securely.
- Perform welding using manual or semi-automatic equipment in various positions.
- Conduct tests and inspections on welded surfaces to identify any defects.
- Maintain equipment to ensure a safe working environment.
Qualifications:
- Must possess experience in pipe welding and pipe fitting.
- ASME Certification is preferred.
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
