Travel Nurse RN

Job Specialty: Med-Surg Adult
Job Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: 12-hour nights
Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
Experience: Minimum of 2 years in a Med-Surg unit
License: Active NM or compact nursing license
Certifications: BLS certification required; completion through American Heart Association, American Health and Safety, or American Red Cross
Must-Have: EPIC EMR experience is preferred, but not required
Job Responsibilities:
- Apply a 75-mile straight-line radius rule for applicants.
- Only submit candidates aware of their submission to this facility.
- Two references required, one from a current manager.
- Resume and completed skills checklist/competency assessment required.
- Must disclose time-off requests with initial submission for consideration.
- At least one successful 11-week travel assignment completed.
- Position may float to other areas as needed.
- Float to ED to care for admitted inpatients holding for bed or to provide support.
- Flexible, team player accustomed to a fast-paced environment.
- Shift start time is 19:00 with possible fluctuations for departmental needs.
- On-call, weekends, and holidays may be required.
- Travelers are first to float within the facility and to alternate locations within a 20-mile radius.
- Traveling pairs are not guaranteed the same schedules or shifts.
- Orientation occurs during the first week of the contract, not exceeding 40 hours, including EPIC training.
- Scrubs for RNs can be any solid color, with matching top, pant, and jacket (if worn).
- State tax considerations should be handled on the agency invoice.
- Ensure accurate entry of SS# and DOB to prevent onboarding issues.
Important Notes:
- Candidates must not have been employed within the represented health system for 12 months from the last day worked to be eligible for a travel position.
- This position requires holiday coverage and does not allow local travelers in the specified radius.
