Job Overview

Position Summary

The Warehouse Forklift Operator is responsible for the safe operation of forklifts and computerized scanning systems to efficiently select and gather finished products based on written orders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conducts daily Pre-Operational Checklists prior to forklift operation and reports any equipment issues to the supervisor.
  • Maintains a safe operating speed while being vigilant for pedestrians and other vehicles.
  • Utilizes forklifts and scanning technology to accurately gather finished goods as per established orders, ensuring the correct items are selected based on code dates.
  • Records code dates meticulously on shipping documents and ensures that all staged loads are clean and securely wrapped for dispatch.
  • Maintains precise records of orders processed and assists in inventory control through cycle counts.
  • Operates pallet inverters and shrink wrap machines as required.
  • Responsible for unloading finished goods and maintaining cleanliness in the warehouse and surrounding areas.
  • Performs physical tasks that may include lifting up to 60 pounds and maintaining a clean work environment.
  • Adheres to all safety protocols and company policies.

Additional Duties

May assist in various warehouse roles, including general forklift operation and rework labor as needed. Participation in training sessions, team meetings, and other collaborative efforts is encouraged.
