We are seeking a highly skilled Street Maintenance Operator to join our team at North Dakota State Government. As a key member of our public works team, you will be responsible for operating heavy equipment, machinery, and specialized equipment used in the maintenance of streets, alleys, and parking lots.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate a variety of heavy equipment, including but not limited to, graders, rollers, and excavators, to perform routine maintenance, repair, and construction of city streets, alleys, and parking lots.
- Perform year-round routine maintenance, repair, and construction of city streets, alleys, and parking lots, including but not limited to, pothole repair, crack sealing, and asphalt resurfacing.
- Provide work zone safety while maintaining traffic flow, including but not limited to, setting up traffic control devices, directing traffic, and ensuring compliance with all safety regulations.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by supervisor.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Valid driver's license required.
- Ability to operate heavy equipment and machinery safely and efficiently.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
