Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated CDL Driver/Tree Crew Member to join our team at Schneider Tree Care. As a key member of our crew, you will be responsible for driving all types of STC Vehicles and performing ground operations, including the operation of tree work equipment, clean up of the yard, roping, and assisting crew leader and climber with aspects of their work.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive STC Vehicles, both manual and automatic, to ensure safe and efficient transportation of crew members and equipment.
  • Operate tree work equipment, including drag brush and feed chipper, to maintain a safe and efficient work environment.
  • Support aerial workers by providing necessary equipment and assistance to ensure successful completion of tasks.
  • Drive dump truck with trailer to transport equipment and materials to and from job sites.
  • Perform final yard clean-up to maintain a safe and organized work environment.
  • Conduct pre- and post-vehicle inspections to ensure vehicles are in good working condition.
Requirements
  • Good physical condition to perform tasks that require lifting, bending, and climbing.
  • Excellent attitude and willingness to learn and adapt to new situations.
  • Ability to work well in a team environment and communicate effectively with crew members.
  • Ability to strictly adhere to safety standards and protocols.
  • Excellent situational awareness and ability to make sound decisions in high-pressure situations.
Work Environment

The physical demands of this position require the ability to talk and/or hear, use hands or fingers to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls, and reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds. The noise level in the work environment is usually heavy.
