Position Overview

The Logistics Associate plays a crucial role in ensuring the efficient flow of goods within the organization. This position involves a variety of essential functions that contribute to the overall success of our operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough inspections of incoming and outgoing shipments to identify any packaging issues, verify labels, weights, and packing lists.
  • Utilize a forklift to load and unload trucks safely and efficiently.
  • Prepare comprehensive packing lists containing all necessary information for outgoing shipments, ensuring accuracy with computer-based records.
  • Attach or verify Certificates of Analysis (COA's), packing lists, bills of lading, purchase orders, and other relevant documentation for shipments.
  • Digitally scan receiving documents into the management system for record-keeping.
  • Organize and prepare outgoing shipments daily, based on shipping schedules.
  • Input data accurately into the M3 system to maintain up-to-date records.
  • Follow all safety protocols, ISO standards, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) during all operational activities.
  • Transport received raw materials from loading docks to the designated warehouse areas.
  • Deliver incoming packages to appropriate office and laboratory personnel.
  • Collect and inspect samples of oil and polypropylene as required.
  • Exhibit flexibility to work overtime on short notice to fulfill essential duties.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.

Scope of Responsibility

  • This position does not hold any supervisory responsibilities.
  • No budget or revenue management responsibilities are associated with this role.
  • Accountable for identifying and reporting any discrepancies in shipments.

Required Skills

  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.

Experience Requirements

  • Preferred one year of prior experience in a shipping and receiving role or equivalent.
  • Forklift operation experience is advantageous.

Educational Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED is required.
