Position Summary:
***NOW OFFERING A $4,000 SIGN ON BONUS***
We are seeking a full-time Registered Nurse to provide essential nursing support during evenings and weekends at various clinic locations. This role requires travel between sites and is vital for ensuring timely and clinically appropriate decisions regarding patient assessments, medication administration, and overall care. Responsibilities also include educating patients on medication management and general health practices.

Work Schedule:
Full-time, 40 hours per week, with rotating weekends. Shifts may vary, including Monday to Friday from 6 am to 2:30 pm, 6 am to 8:30 pm, and/or 12 pm to 8:30 pm, as well as Saturday and/or Sunday from 7 am to 7:30 pm.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Direct Patient Care:
    • Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients, ensuring all needs are met in accordance with established policies and health regulations.
    • Conduct accurate assessments and maintain thorough documentation, reporting to relevant personnel as necessary.
    • Administer medications and treatments competently, documenting per policy and monitoring for adverse reactions.
    • Maintain accurate treatment records and documentation of immunizations and screenings.
    • Conduct triage and nursing assessments for both walk-in and scheduled patients as directed.
  • Communication:
    • Facilitate effective communication during shift changes and maintain confidentiality in all interactions.
    • Ensure accurate reporting and documentation standards are upheld.
  • Patient Education:
    • Provide education to patients on health topics such as TB, HIV, and medication management to enhance their well-being.
    • Participate in training and orientation for new staff and student nurses.

Qualifications:

  • Current RN license in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
  • Preferred minimum of 2 years of nursing experience.
  • Experience working with underserved populations is preferred.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Starting compensation at $35.22 per hour, with increases based on experience.
  • Full-time employees are eligible for a competitive time-off policy, including 4 weeks of vacation, health, dental, and vision insurance, a 403B retirement savings plan with employer contributions, and a pre-tax MBTA pass program offering a 40% discount. Additionally, employees demonstrating bilingual proficiency may receive an additional $7,500 added to their base salary.
