Key Responsibilities:

  • Regularly kneel, stoop, bend, and sit on the floor or in small chairs.
  • Perform light lifting, occasionally up to 50 lbs.
  • Sanitize classroom materials and equipment as necessary.
  • Assist with meal service when required.
  • Support the general maintenance and security of the facility.
  • Strictly follow all safety protocols and immediately address any safety concerns.
  • Adhere to ethical standards and workplace behavior guidelines at all times.
  • Complete additional tasks as assigned to meet operational needs, ensuring consistent attendance and adherence to workplace standards.

Qualifications:

  • Must be registered in Oregon's Central Background Registry.
  • Possess 20 Early Childhood Education (ECE) Units OR 10 ECE Units plus 6 months of experience in a certified center OR 1 year of experience in a certified center OR be at Step 8 or higher in the Oregon Registry.
  • Obtain a Food Handler's Card, CPR/First Aid certification for infants and adults, and complete a course on Recognizing and Reporting Child Abuse and Neglect within the first month of employment.
  • Complete an Introduction to Child Care Health and Safety course.
