Occupational Health Therapist

We are seeking an experienced Occupational Health Therapist to join our team in a clinical setting. This role involves developing individualized treatment plans to optimize movement and promote activity participation that influences sustained worker productivity.
As an Occupational Health Therapist, you will implement high-quality physical therapy services for Occupational Health patients, caregivers, and facilities while adhering to the principles and practices of physical therapy and OrthoAlaska policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- \
- Evaluate, treat, and direct treatment for patients requiring physical therapy, clearly documenting medical necessity.\
- Conduct work-related physical therapy evaluations and writeups to document Functional Capacity Evaluations (FCEs).\
- Manage and formulate work conditioning programs related to specific physical functions as defined by clients or job descriptions.\
- Administer standardized assessments for pre-employment screening.\
- Conduct initial physical therapy evaluations in accordance with workers' compensation standards.\
- Maintain ongoing treatment documentation, including goals, progress toward functional goals, and medical necessity.\
- Complete required documentation (pre-certification, physician reports, daily notes, and charges) legibly, appropriately, and timely to meet facility, physician, and payer deadlines.\
- Maintain open and respectful communication with co-workers, physicians, patients, authorized family members, and third-party payers at all times.\
- Attend department meetings as directed by the Director of Therapy Services.\
- Supervise staff, aides, and students as needed.\
- Keep the therapy area clean, neat, and presentable.\
- Perform other duties assigned by the Director of Therapy Services, PCA Medical Director, and PCA Practice Administrator.

- Leadership skills to effectively direct and supervise staff and aides in delivering quality care to patients.\
- Strong organizational skills, time management, and planning abilities.\
- Effective clinical problem-solving skills.\
- Strong communication skills for accurate, concise, oral, and written presentations.\
- Computer skills for effective patient record management, reporting, and billing.
