Machinist Specialist

Job Summary:

As a Machinist at the French Oil Mill Machinery Co., you will be responsible for setting up and operating manual and/or CNC machines. This includes manual lathes, manual mills, grinders, CNC machines, and machining equipment. You will apply your knowledge of machine shop theory and procedures, shop mathematics, and maintainability of materials to ensure efficient and accurate production.

Key Responsibilities:

Set up and operate manual and/or CNC machines to produce high-quality parts and products
Apply knowledge of machine shop theory and procedures to ensure efficient and accurate production
Use shop mathematics to calculate and measure dimensions and tolerances
Maintain equipment and tools to ensure optimal performance and extend lifespan
Collaborate with colleagues to achieve production goals and deadlines

Requirements:

2+ years of experience in a machine shop or manufacturing environment
Strong knowledge of machine shop theory and procedures
Proficiency in shop mathematics and calculations
Ability to work accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
