Job Summary

As a Speech Pathologist at Sentara Healthcare, you will play a vital role in improving the lives of our patients by assessing, planning, and implementing rehabilitative programs that address speech, swallowing, language, voice, and fluency disorders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to improve communication skills and swallowing function.
  • Provide education and training to patients and their caregivers on effective communication strategies and techniques.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care and support.
  • Conduct assessments and evaluations to identify areas of need and develop targeted interventions.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Speech Pathology or related field.
  • Current licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist in the state of North Carolina or Virginia.
  • Experience working with patients with speech and language disorders.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
