We are seeking a skilled Food Delivery Driver to join our team at Performance Foodservice. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for delivering food and food-related products to customers in a safe and timely manner.
Key Responsibilities- Drive a straight truck or van intrastate and/or interstate on local routes to deliver and unload various food and food-related products to customers.
- Perform pre-trip safety checks on the vehicle and trailer to ensure they meet company quality standards.
- Check and complete all required paperwork associated with freight in an accurate and legible fashion.
- Unload products from the trailer and transport items into designated customer storage areas.
- Perform damage control checks on items and contact supervisor about removing orders according to company policy.
- Verify delivery of items with customers and obtain proper signatures.
- Collect money (cash or checks) where required.
- Perform post-trip safety checks on the vehicle and secure tractor and trailer as needed.
- Non-Commercial Driver's License
- Meet the medical requirements of the DOT
- Successful driving experience
