Job Summary:This is an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of others as a Care Specialist. You will be responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of consumers with intellectual developmental disabilities, behavioral health histories, and other needs. Your role will involve coordination with clinical staff, implementing residentially based interventions, and assisting clients in achieving their goals.
Key Responsibilities:- Supervise individuals according to person-centered individualized service plans, supporting them in working towards identified outcomes.
- Complete required documentation and administer medication as needed.
- Provide transportation to consumers and support them in activities of daily living, meal preparation, toileting, hygiene, and other essential tasks.
- Assist in community integration activities, accessing medical appointments, social security benefits, and other necessary resources.
- A high school diploma or GED is required; an associate's or bachelor's degree is preferred.
- Basic computer and internet literacy, with the ability to utilize applications like emails, time recording, and other programs to enter and retrieve data as necessary.
- Prior experience in the human services field is preferred, but not mandatory.
- A valid driver's license is required.
We offer a competitive salary of $18.00 per hour, with potential increases up to $18.50 after 90 days. Additionally, our package includes medical, dental, vision, HSA, FSA, short-term disability, retirement benefits, and a generous PTO plan with sick, vacation, and holiday time off.
