Job Summary:

The MRI Technologist I is a key member of our diagnostic imaging team at Saint Joseph Health System. This role is responsible for reviewing physician orders, preparing patients for MRI exams, and performing high-quality imaging procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and interpret physician orders to ensure accurate and safe MRI procedures
  • Prepare patients for exams, including positioning and administering contrast media as needed
  • Operate MRI equipment to produce high-quality images for diagnostic purposes
  • Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnoses and patient care
  • Maintain accurate records and reports of MRI procedures and results

Requirements:

  • Completion of an accredited MRI Technologist program
  • Advanced certification in MRI by ARRT or ARMRIT; OR MRI Registry-eligible with certification within 12 months of hire
  • Maintains Continuing Education credits (24 CEU in two periods) and other requirements to maintain ARRT certification
  • Current Indiana MRI Technologist license preferred; Healthcare BLS certification required
  • 1 year of current or recent experience in MRI scanning preferred
