Instrumentation Engineer Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Instrumentation Engineer to join our Water Team at Wade Trim Ohio, Inc. in Columbus, OH. As an Instrumentation Engineer, you will play a critical role in improving infrastructure in our Atlanta office.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement control systems for water and wastewater treatment plants and related facilities.
  • Develop preliminary scope definitions, budgets, and staffing plans for projects.
  • Conduct field reviews and evaluations of existing equipment, control systems, and control panels.
  • Prepare studies, conceptual reports, and technical memorandums for clients.
  • Conduct I&C engineering and analyses related to various water, wastewater, and industrial waste treatment facilities.
  • Develop construction documents, including technical specifications, detailed control strategies, instrument data sheets, and process and instrumentation diagrams.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering.
  • 8-15 years of experience in instrumentation and controls.
  • Professional Engineering license (PE) or ability to obtain one within 12 months of hire date.
  • Ability to mentor junior to intermediate staff and work with remotely located project team members.
