Key Responsibilities:
The facility plays a crucial role in national security, focusing on three primary missions: maintaining the US nuclear weapons stockpile, mitigating global threats, and supporting the US Navy's nuclear propulsion program.
As a Test Engineer, your responsibilities will include:
- Developing and managing test protocols to ensure equipment and systems perform to established standards.
- Collaborating with Project Engineers and design teams to ensure testability of acceptance criteria.
- Reviewing vendor-submitted Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) for compliance with specifications and operational performance requirements.
- Estimating field testing activities and contributing to project schedules.
- Assisting in the creation of Functional Acceptance Criteria (FAC) documents and conducting preoperational testing on newly installed or modified systems.
- Documenting test results and providing technical guidance to contractors and other personnel.
- Participating in Test Review Boards, advising on testing progress and issues, and directing support teams during test execution.
- Ensuring adherence to internal quality control standards and reliability programs.
Qualifications:
- A bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline from an ABET-accredited institution, with a minimum of two years of experience in complex engineering projects, or a master's degree with one year of relevant experience.
- Successful completion of a drug screening.
- Eligibility to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
