Position Overview:
Epic Travel Staffing is currently seeking a travel nurse RN specializing in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) for an exciting opportunity.

Job Specifications:

  • Weekly Hours: 48 hours
  • Contract Duration: 13 weeks

Requirements:
  • Active nursing license in the relevant state
  • Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience
  • Previous travel nursing experience preferred
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • NIH Stroke Scale certification
  • Experience with Epic electronic health records is required
  • Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) certification is preferred

Unit Information:
This position involves working in a medical Intermediate Care Unit with a staffing ratio of 1:4. The unit caters to a diverse patient population, including those with medical and neurological conditions. Nurses will be expected to float to various units as needed, including medical-surgical and intensive care units.

Daily Operations:
  • Patient Census: Average of 12 patients
  • Room Count: 12 rooms available
  • Weekend Requirements: Minimum of 6 weekends during the contract

Certifications Required:
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS)
  • NIH Stroke Scale certification (CPI preferred)

Orientation:
New hires will undergo a comprehensive orientation process, including two shifts at the bedside in addition to hospital orientation.
