Position Overview:

The Housekeeping Associate plays a vital role in ensuring a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for all residents and visitors. This position is essential for maintaining the overall hygiene and appearance of the community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct daily cleaning tasks as per established protocols, ensuring all areas are maintained to the highest standards.
  • Adhere to safety guidelines while performing duties and promptly report any hazards or incidents to the supervisor.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with residents, observing and reporting any significant changes in their condition.
  • Prepare for shifts by reviewing necessary reports and information.
  • Manage cleaning of common areas, including floors, carpets, and furnishings, ensuring all surfaces are spotless.
  • Responsible for the cleanliness of resident rooms, including bed making, vacuuming, and sanitizing bathrooms.
  • Collect and dispose of waste from all areas, ensuring proper hygiene practices are followed.
  • Restock supplies in restrooms and maintain cleanliness in all communal facilities.
  • Assist in setting up areas for activities and dining as needed.
  • Maintain cleanliness of housekeeping equipment and storage areas.
  • Support the Maintenance Director by reporting any necessary repairs and managing supply needs.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Previous experience in a similar housekeeping role is preferred.
  • Experience working with seniors, particularly those with cognitive impairments, is advantageous.
  • Must pass a criminal background check and health screenings as required.
  • Minimum age requirement of eighteen (18) years.
