Position Overview:
As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in our Continuous Care Center, you will provide essential patient care under the guidance of a Registered Nurse. This role focuses on delivering nursing services that do not necessitate the advanced expertise required of a Registered Nurse.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Possession of a current, unencumbered license from the appropriate state board of Practical Nursing.
- Alternatively, a valid multi-state license through the Enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC).
- Certification in Basic Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment.
Core Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct patient care in accordance with established care plans and under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
- Ensure patient comfort and hygiene through timely care.
- Perform necessary therapeutic procedures as assigned.
- Monitor, document, and report patient conditions, concerns, and progress to the supervising Registered Nurse.
- Assist healthcare providers during examinations and procedures.
- Utilize medical supplies efficiently to help manage patient care costs.
- Contribute to patient assessments by accurately collecting and recording data.
- Observe and report any changes in patient conditions to the Registered Nurse.
- Participate in the development of patient care plans by providing relevant information.
- Support patient and family education initiatives as directed.
- Document nursing interventions and patient responses effectively.
- Administer medications as prescribed, ensuring safety and accuracy.
- Take responsibility for the care provided, including delegation to other healthcare staff.
- Seek guidance from the Registered Nurse when necessary.
Physical Requirements:
This role requires physical stamina and strength, including lifting and moving patients and equipment weighing over 40 lbs.

Skills & Abilities:
- Ability to work collaboratively with team members.
- Flexibility to work irregular hours as needed.
