Job Summary

The Quality Technician plays a vital role in supporting the Quality Engineering function by providing technical assistance in manufacturing-related issues.

They actively contribute to corrective action efforts and drive continuous improvement initiatives at Jabil.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough inspections, measurements, and tests on mechanical, electrical, and electromechanical components and assemblies.
  • Ensure material conformance to specifications and interpret company and industry standards.
  • Maintain accurate records of technical data related to materials, tools, fixtures, and processes used.
  • Perform in-process inspections, audits, and record results for analysis.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for defects and issues, assisting inspectors as needed.
  • Review defect samples and oversee the purge process.
  • Collect and analyze data using statistical analysis methods.
  • Assist Quality Engineers in executing corrective and preventive actions (CAPA), including follow-up on deviation assessments (DA) and engineering change notices (ECN).
  • Review non-conforming materials and products.
Requirements
  • High school diploma and one to three years of related experience and/or training.
  • 1-3 year Quality Inspection experience
  • Packaging experience preferred
Skills
  • Ability to read, interpret documents, write routine reports, and communicate effectively
  • Proficiency in mathematical concepts such as probability, statistical inference, and basic geometry
  • Ability to solve practical problems and interpret instructions in various
Work Environment

Primary workstation located on the manufacturing floor with moderate noise levels.
