Job Title: Shipbuilding Specialist

Estimated Salary: $65,000 - $85,000 per year

We are seeking a skilled Shipbuilding Specialist to join our team at Allen Marine Inc. in Sitka, Alaska.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, layout, fabricating, assembling, installing, repairing and modifying piping systems and pipe assemblies requiring close tolerance fit and structural soundness on ships, boats, barges and other floating marine equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Fabricate and assemble piping systems and components
• Perform welding and metalwork tasks
• Lay out and install piping systems according to specifications
• Clean up work area and general shop cleanup

Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in shipbuilding or piping systems fabrication
• Detail-oriented and able to work independently
• Effective communicator and team player
• Previous experience working with internal and external consultants, clients and partners
