About This Role

We are seeking an experienced Principal Scientist with a background in immunology to join our team at Cellarity. As a subject matter expert, you will play a critical role in shaping our pipeline across a portfolio of immunology programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a small team of wet-lab biologists and cross-functionally manage a program team in a cutting-edge drug creation program focusing on immune cell disease biology.
  • Collaborate with the Discovery Science team to establish and manage timelines, workflows, and documentation.
  • Present and interpret data, think critically, and propose next steps both internally and externally.
  • Engage in productive collaborations with internal stakeholders and develop a robust network of external collaborators to facilitate studies.
  • Provide guidance and motivation to junior scientists who share your passion for making meaningful therapeutics.
Requirements
  • Ph.D. in Biological Sciences with a specific focus on Immunology.
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in preclinical drug discovery within the pharmaceutical or biotech industry, showcasing a strong understanding of late discovery and IND-enabling studies.
  • Proven expertise in leading at least one cross-functional drug discovery program.
  • Experience in stem cell biology.
  • Excellent communication skills and the drive to teach and mentor a new generation of drug hunters.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in the development of small molecules therapeutics.
  • Ability to flex and work with a sense of urgency around changing priorities and facilitating timelines.
  • Sophisticated problem-solving skills and data interpretation, and statistical reasoning.
  • Demonstrated initiative, teamwork, and leadership within areas of technical expertise.
