Job Title: Registered Nurse

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team at CivicMinds, Inc. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in nursing and be able to provide high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Work closely with clinic providers to provide comprehensive health care to patients and promote the smooth operation of the clinic team.
  • Determine that staffing ratios for the teams are adequate and coordinate with Nursing Manager for overall coverage to ensure workflow is smooth.
  • Implement clinic and regulatory protocols, including those determined by the Medical Quality Assurance Committee (MQAC), clinical treatment protocols, and protocols as determined by the Medical Director and NEMS Administration.
  • Coordinate EWC, CPSP, CHDP/VFC, and DPH vaccine programs.
  • Prepare and participate in health plan and program audits.
  • Provide patient care when short staffed, including taking vital signs, performing EKG, immunizations, TB skin tests, blood draws, and insertion of urinary catheters, medication injections, and collecting and preparing specimens as necessary.
  • Start IVs and administer medications, including intravenous infusions as ordered.
  • Know the scope of practice for his/her profession and that of the Licensed Vocational Nurses (LVNs) and Medical Assistants (MAs), and assign tasks accordingly.
  • Assist with difficult patients.
  • Provide care management for patients who require continual care, including high-risk patients.
  • Make appropriate referrals to other departments within the agency and outside agencies.
  • Perform telephone and drop-in triage.
  • Educate patients about health problems, treatment regimes, self-injections of insulin, and medical procedures.
Qualifications:
  • Graduate of an accredited school of Registered Nursing Program.
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing is preferred.
Language:
  • Must be able to speak, read, and write English.
  • Fluent in Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin), Vietnamese, Spanish, and other languages may be required depending on location.
