Job Summary

MD&B is seeking a highly skilled CDL B Driver with Hazmat/Tanker Endorsement to transport and deliver explosive supplies to company job sites. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for safely transporting hazardous materials, maintaining accurate load manifests, and ensuring compliance with DOT safety regulations.

Responsibilities
  • Transport explosive supplies using Class B vehicles, with occasional use of Class C vehicles as needed.
  • Maintain accurate load manifests and vehicle documents, ensuring proper completion and balance.
  • Receive and store products at magazine sites, load products from magazine to distribution vehicles, and unload products to ground crews at job sites.
  • Ensure all loads and materials are properly secured and meet DOT safety regulations.
  • Comply with state and local traffic laws and regulations, and maintain a clean and well-maintained vehicle.
  • Communicate work status to supervisors and dispatchers, and represent the company in a positive and professional manner.
  • Prioritize multiple assignments, report incidents and accidents, and submit to Federal DOT required drug and alcohol testing.
Qualifications
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Class B CDL license with Hazmat Endorsement, Tanker Endorsement, DOT medical fitness card, and acceptable driving record.
  • Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).
  • Successful Class B commercial driving experience, with consideration given to trainees with the appropriate license and MVR record.
  • Ability to pass a background investigation, including ATF.
  • Solid understanding of Federal DOT/State regulations as it relates to hazardous material transportation, trucking, and interstate commerce.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to perform essential functions of the position.
  • Ability to lift lbs.
  • Work in outside environments in all weather conditions, on uneven and loose surfaces, and stoop and bend % of the time.
