About the Position

The Systems Test Operations Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day activities of test operations employees, ensuring that delivery, quality, and cost metrics are met. This role focuses on employee productivity, quality, safety, and training, typically managing a team of 10-15 direct reports of technicians and engineers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic direction to the extended team, communicating overall priorities based on customer commitments, quantities, capacity utilization, and technical challenges.
  • Attract, retain, and develop technical test organization talent, ensuring a balanced workload and effective performance management.
  • Manage and resolve test issues impacting test operations, including test yield, false failure rate reduction, and test cycle time detractors, involving peer managers as needed and effectively communicating to senior management.
  • Collaborate with the extended team to identify and execute process and tool improvements, including 6-S implementation, inventory management, and lean/six-sigma initiatives to continuously improve yield, waste elimination, and capacity optimization.

Requirements

  • Associate degree in engineering or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and/or related work experience.
  • 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing test environment, including test development, test sustaining, and test improvements in a technology field.
  • Experience leading and mentoring technical and non-technical teams.
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Word and Excel.
  • Ability to prioritize workload and possess excellent multi-project management skills.
  • Excellent communication (spoken and written) skills, including the ability to explain and present technical information across all levels of the organization.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, flexible environment and take the initiative to learn new tools and concepts quickly.
