JOB SUMMARY:
A Certified Nursing Assistant Trainee is responsible for performing essential duties that support the nursing department, assisting nurses and nursing assistants in their daily tasks. The role involves actively participating in a state-approved 100-hour Nurse Aide Training Program or having completed the program while awaiting clinical and written evaluations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Demonstrate understanding of age-specific developmental factors relevant to adult and geriatric residents when planning care delivery.
• Attend all mandatory in-service training by the employee's anniversary date.
• Operate under the guidance of the Inservice Coordinator or Charge Nurse, contributing as an active member of the interdisciplinary team.
• Adapt to changes in unit or shift assignments to meet the needs of residents and the facility.
• Adhere to the Code of Conduct and Corporate Compliance Program in all work functions.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• No findings or convictions related to resident abuse, mistreatment, or misappropriation of property.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to follow both written and verbal instructions, showing respect towards colleagues, physicians, residents, and their families.
• Compassionate and caring bedside manner.
• Respect for residents' privacy and rights, demonstrating genuine concern for the elderly.
• Capable of performing tasks while maintaining high standards of quality, cleanliness, and kindness.
• Physical stamina for frequent activity; ability to lift a minimum of 20 pounds.
