Malcolm & Cisneros, a minority-owned law firm, is seeking a full-time experienced civil litigation Law Clerk. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in plaintiff civil litigation practice, including drafting summons, complaints, defaults, and judgments. The Law Clerk will also update client and internal operating systems, coordinate filings and service of pleadings, and perform title curative work. Additionally, the candidate will assist mortgage servicers with the title resolution process, review and summarize legal documents, and prepare pre-litigation reports.

The successful candidate will have:

  • Knowledge of legal practices and procedures with a minimum of 2 years' experience in the civil litigation environment, preferably creditors' rights.
  • Familiarity with legal and/or mortgage databases.
  • Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office with Word and Excel.
  • Strong skill set with learning new computer software.
  • Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Attention to detail, excellent organization, time management skills, verbal and written communication, and strong customer interface skills.
  • Interest in becoming an integral team player of a well-established law firm.

Law degree/JD is required. The firm offers an excellent benefits package and ongoing training. This position is currently hybrid-remote, with some training and/or days required in the office. The company continues to evaluate remote vs in-office work and reserves the right to request some days of work to occur in company offices.
