We are looking for a seasoned Security Technical Team Lead to join our team at Johnson Controls. This is a key position that requires strong technical expertise and leadership skills to lead the installation, maintenance, and repair of security systems.

About the Role

As a Security Technical Team Lead, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day technical and service requirements of our customers' security systems. You will provide coaching, mentoring, and technical assistance to System Technicians, Electrical Installers, and System Designers. Your goal will be to ensure that delegated tasks are completed accurately, on time, billed, executed within budget, and within the scope of the contract.

Key Responsibilities
  • Adhere to safety standards and local and national codes, with a high degree of regard for employee and subcontractor safety.
  • Oversee the day-to-day technical and service requirements of PSA and L&M customer base.
  • Provides coaching, mentoring, and technical assistance to System Technicians, Electrical Installers, and System Designers.
  • Maintain and services customers based on customer-specific requirements.
  • Order material from both internal sources and/or external vendors and expedite as necessary.
  • Maintain appropriate local Security Industry Certifications.
  • Communicate with customers upon arrival and before leaving the work site.
  • Continuous proactive customer interactions including an in-depth understanding of customer(s) needs, wants, and systems currently in place.
  • Plans for future needs with customers that include recommending complete systems enhancements and promoting the sale of add-on work.
Requirements
  • Demonstrate a high level of customer service.
  • Educated in electronics certification from an accredited technical school with seven years' experience required in the security industry or commensurate experience in the Security Industry.
  • Experience within the security industry with complete knowledge and understanding of security systems, database structures, network configuration, and analysis.
  • Strong technical background in Access control.
  • SIMPLEX FACP Certification and CCURE 9000 Certification is preferred.
  • Able to act independently and coordinate the work of others on a job site.
  • Demonstrated effective interpersonal skills to represent the company to customers and other outside contacts.
  • Able to explain technical information to non-technical people.
  • Ability to read and understand complex building architectural, mechanical, and electrical documents, as well as project plans, specifications, schedules, and equipment installation/operation/troubleshooting manual.

The estimated salary range for this position is $80,000-$120,000 per year, depending on experience.
