We are seeking a skilled Automotive Mechanic to join our team at Conrad's Tire Express and Total Car Care. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for performing routine maintenance and repairs on vehicles, ensuring they are safe and running efficiently.
Key Responsibilities- Perform routine inspections and diagnostic tests to identify issues with vehicles
- Conduct repairs and maintenance on vehicles, including tire rotations, alignments, and brake services
- Utilize a variety of tools and equipment, including tire machines, balancers, and lifts
- Develop and maintain knowledge of tire lines and inventory functions
- Assist with maintaining the facility, including housekeeping and general maintenance duties
- Minimum training required: Basic Services, Starting and Charging Systems, Automotive and/or tire knowledge and skills, Automotive maintenance, remove and replacement knowledge and skills, Basic automotive diagnostic skills
- Ability to read and interpret documents, including safety rules and operating instructions
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables
The work environment is fast-paced and requires the ability to work in a team setting. The employee will be regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, and toxic or caustic chemicals. The employee will also be occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, outside weather conditions, and explosives.
The noise level in the work environment is usually loud. The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 75 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
