Position Overview
Work Schedule: Saturday and Sunday from 8am to 5pm, Monday from 3pm to 12am, Tuesday and Wednesday from 11:30pm to 8:30am.
As a Safety and Security Specialist, you will ensure a secure and safe environment for both students and staff. Your responsibilities will include:
- Conducting thorough investigations of incidents and accidents, preparing necessary reports, and recommending corrective measures.
- Performing regular safety inspections and assessments of all facilities and equipment to identify potential hazards.
- Enforcing safety regulations and standards.
- Documenting incidents and accident investigations within established timelines.
- Conducting security tours and supervising student activities.
- Responding to emergencies and urgent requests.
- Managing security protocols, visitor control, and student accountability.
- Assisting in dorm inspections and searches for prohibited items.
- Maintaining the cleanliness and security of all facilities.
- Providing support in residential, recreational, and transportation needs as required.
- Delivering high-quality supervision and management for the student population.
- Performing additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent is required; advanced degrees are preferred. Experience in Job Corps or related programs is advantageous. A valid in-State Driver's License is necessary, along with meeting company insurability standards.
Physical requirements include the ability to sit, stand, climb, walk, lift, pull, push, carry, reach, stoop, and crouch. Candidates must demonstrate the capability to lift 40 pounds and assess lifting loads to request assistance when needed.
