Job Description

At Rocket Software, we're looking for a seasoned Senior Program Manager to join our team. As a pivotal role, you'll be responsible for managing the successful delivery of our solutions through effective program management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain a strategic roadmap for the assigned program portfolio, ensuring each program aligns with our organizational goals.
  • Lead the development and adoption of metrics and KPIs to measure program performance, ensuring alignment with our strategic objectives.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to optimize resource allocation across the program portfolio, resolving constraints and conflicts to maximize program efficiency.
  • Drive the identification, documentation, and application of lessons learned across programs, promoting continuous improvement and best practices.
  • Provide leadership and direction to program teams, ensuring alignment with program objectives and motivating high performance.
  • Foster a collaborative environment, building strong relationships among program team members, stakeholders, and other cross-functional team members.
  • Mentor and support Project Managers assigned to workstreams that roll up to the program, consolidating and summarizing information for program-level reporting.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive stakeholder engagement plans, ensuring clear communication and alignment with program objectives.
  • Manage cross-program timelines, dependencies, decisions, and constraints.
Requirements
  • At least 15 years of industry experience in the software industry, including as a Program or Project Manager.
  • Bachelor's degree and Master's or equivalent experience.
  • Current program/project management certification from PMI or equivalent organization.
  • Strong Program Management skills and experience, with the ability to apply correct tools and processes when needed.
  • Demonstrated success mentoring and supporting other less experienced Project Managers.
  • Experience working with senior executives and managing stakeholder communications and expectations.
  • Hardworking teammate and collaborator with strong interpersonal skills to work cross-functionally with a diverse customer base and across geographies.
