We are seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team at TriHealth. As a Respiratory Therapist, you will provide high-quality respiratory care to patients in various settings, including hospitals, clinics, and other healthcare facilities.
Job Summary:The Respiratory Therapist will be responsible for administering respiratory care therapeutic modalities, managing mechanical ventilation, and assessing the appropriateness and effectiveness of therapy administered. Additionally, this role will involve assisting in the clinical education of Respiratory Therapy Students and participating in diagnostic activities such as ABG procurement and analysis, bedside pulmonary function testing, and hemodynamic and other noninvasive procedures.
Responsibilities:- Administer respiratory care therapeutic modalities, including oxygen therapy, aerosol therapy, and mechanical ventilation.
- Manage mechanical ventilation, including setting up and adjusting ventilators, and monitoring patient response.
- Assess the appropriateness and effectiveness of therapy administered, including evaluating patient response and adjusting treatment plans as needed.
- Assist in the clinical education of Respiratory Therapy Students, including teaching and mentoring students in clinical settings.
- Participate in diagnostic activities, including ABG procurement and analysis, bedside pulmonary function testing, and hemodynamic and other noninvasive procedures.
- Graduate of an approved technical, professional, or vocational program.
- Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (BLS) certification.
- NBRC Registry or RRT certification.
- Current Ohio licensure.
- Knowledge of Advance Cardiopulmonary Physiology and other sciences related to respiratory care and relevant Pharmacology.
- 1-2 years experience in a related field.
This position requires frequent standing, walking, and talking. The ability to lift 50+ pounds is rarely required. The ability to push, pull, reach, and use hands is occasionally required. The ability to see far and near is frequently required. The ability to hear conversation and other sounds is frequently required.
