Position Summary:

The Tire Quality Assurance Inspector is responsible for ensuring adherence to all vendor policies and procedures, thereby guaranteeing that the credits received align with those issued to our customers. This role will also support the Warranty Manager in the adjustment process related to mergers and acquisitions, requiring familiarity with Hunter mounting and balancing machinery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure consistent compliance with all vendor policies and procedures.
  • Verify that credits received correspond accurately with credits provided to customers.
  • Conduct routine inspections of tires and/or tubes, determining if further action is necessary.

  • General Managers
  • Operations Directors
  • Senior Vice President of Operations

Qualifications:

  • Education: High School Diploma or GED.
  • Experience: A minimum of 2 years in tire and wheel inspection is preferred, along with relevant work experience that allows for operation under general supervision.
  • Alternative qualifications may be considered at the discretion of the company.

Essential Skills:

  • Understanding of profit and loss calculations and basic business finance to ensure proper credit management.
  • Proficiency in various software systems including HPV, On Base, Tel-Net, Oracle, and others.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical bulletins and internal reports, as well as NHTSA regulations.
  • Thorough knowledge of tire and wheel inspection standards and procedures.
  • Strong mathematical and analytical skills for credit monitoring and problem-solving.
  • In-depth knowledge of current materials, methods, tools, and equipment, including Hunter machinery.
  • Strategic and innovative thinking to support the company's goals and objectives.
  • Effective planning and execution skills to identify and resolve root causes of issues, working collaboratively across departments.

Physical Requirements and Work Environment:

  • Physical demands include occasional standing, walking, sitting, and lifting up to 150 pounds. Vision requirements include close, distance, color, and depth perception.
  • Work environment may expose employees to varying weather conditions and moderate noise levels.
  • Some travel may be necessary.
