Job Title: Transfer Driver

Job Summary:

As a Transfer Driver, you will play a critical role in supporting the U-Haul community by transporting equipment to and from the repair shop. You will use U-Haul's proprietary technology to assess and care for field vehicles, ensuring that our customers receive the best possible service.

Responsibilities:
  • Transport U-Haul equipment between U-Haul centers, dealerships, and the repair shop.
  • Perform visual inspections of equipment to ensure it is in good working condition.
  • Fill in receipt and intake paperwork electronically.
  • Maintain a driver log to track your activities.
  • Team members are expected to lend assistance in additional areas as needed, following the directives and guidance of their supervisor.
Requirements:
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Able to use mobile transfer programs.
  • D.O.T. certification (can be sponsored by U-Haul).

Work Environment:

The work involves moderate risks or discomforts that require special safety precautions, such as working around moving parts, machines, fumes, or chemicals. You may be required to use protective clothing or gear, such as masks, goggles, gloves, or shields.

The work requires some physical exertion, such as long periods of standing, walking, and lifting. You will be required to move a minimum of 50 pounds assisted or unassisted.
