Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team at Advocate Aurora Health. As a Respiratory Therapist, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive respiratory care to patients, administering respiratory care procedures and modalities, and collaborating with other departments to ensure the best patient experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess patient needs and develop individualized respiratory care plans
  • Administer respiratory care procedures and modalities, including ventilator management and medication treatments
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure effective patient care
  • Provide education and instruction to patients and families on respiratory care and disease management
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and safety
Requirements
  • Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license issued by the state in which you practice
  • Active Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential issued by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA)
  • Graduate from an accredited respiratory care program with a minimum of an associate degree
