Job Description

At Trapper's Sushi Surprise, we're seeking a highly skilled and organized Host/Cashier to join our team. As a key member of our front-of-house staff, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, providing exceptional service and ensuring a memorable dining experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Welcome guests as they enter the restaurant and provide a warm and inviting atmosphere.
  • Manage wait times and monitor waiting lists to ensure a smooth and efficient service.
  • Facilitate to-go orders by phone and ensure customers receive their correct items.
  • Answer incoming calls and address customers' queries in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Escort customers to assigned dining or bar areas and provide menus and announcements.
  • Coordinate and assist wait staff to ensure seamless service.
  • Maintain a clean and organized reception area.
  • Cater to guests who require extra attention, such as children or elderly individuals.
  • Greet customers upon their departure and ensure they have a positive experience.
  • Demonstrate and uphold all Trapper's Sushi Surprise core values.

Requirements:

  • Previous work experience as a Host/Hostess or Food Server.
  • An understanding of restaurant etiquette and protocols.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • High school diploma; hospitality certification is a plus.
  • Washington State Food Worker Card is required (before first day of work).

Physical Demands:

  • The employee must regularly lift items up to 10 pounds, frequently up to 20 pounds, and occasionally up to 50 pounds.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand throughout their shift, walk, reach with hands and arms in front of body, lift, twist, and crouch occasionally.
