About the Job

We are seeking a skilled Textile Material Handler to join our team at Openwork in Inman, South Carolina. This is a full-time position working Monday through Friday, 2nd shift from 4:00 pm to 12:00 am, with the option to train on 1st shift from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of textile machines, maintaining a clean and organized work environment, and adhering to standard work methods and practices. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the supply of empty cans in the can changer and ensure the machine operators have a steady supply of materials.
  • Push full card sliver cans to the draw and empty cans to the cards.
  • Load full barrels of material into the conveyor rack and transport full totes of spools to the next department.
  • Perform physical tasks such as standing, walking, and lifting throughout the day.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous experience in a textile or manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet production deadlines.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
