JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

The Child Care Center at Hort Woods is looking for a dedicated individual to fill the role of Early Childhood Educator, focusing on children aged 3 to 5 years. This position is essential in fostering and delivering high-quality educational experiences for young children and their families.

The selected candidate will be tasked with:
  • Upholding and enhancing classroom standards in a practical learning environment.
  • Collaborating with colleagues to design and implement an innovative educational curriculum.
  • Building and nurturing cooperative relationships with co-workers, supervisors, and families.
  • Providing guidance and mentorship to interns and student teachers in early childhood education programs.
  • Ensuring compliance with the standards set by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) and Pennsylvania Keystone STARS 4 quality benchmarks.

This position requires a minimum of a Bachelor's degree or higher, along with at least one year of relevant experience. The role will be filled at the Intermediate Professional level.

Requirements for this position include:
  • Completion of a PA State Police Criminal Background Check, PA Child Abuse History Clearance Form, Federal (FBI) Fingerprint Criminal Background Check, and the National Sex Offender Registry Clearance (NSOR).
  • A health examination with a TB test is mandatory before commencing the role.
  • Additional clearances may be required if you have lived outside of Pennsylvania in the past five years.
The salary range for this position is as follows:

$34, $50,500.00
