We are seeking a skilled Critical Care Nurse to join our team at Woodland Heights Medical Center in Lufkin, Texas. Our 149-bed acute care hospital offers a supportive environment with a focus on patient-centered care.
As a PRN RN in our ICU/SD Department, you will work closely with our multidisciplinary team to provide exceptional care to patients with various medical conditions, including post cath, stemi, vascular surgery, open heart surgery, and IABP. Our Registered Nurses integrate standards of care into daily practice, promoting commitment, effective communication, customer service, responsiveness, sense of ownership, and positive attitudes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate assigned patients, plan, implement, and document nursing care.
- Assist physicians during examinations and procedures.
- Perform various patient tests and administer medications within the scope of the practice of the RN.
- Promote patients' independence by establishing patient care goals and teaching patients and families to understand conditions, medications, and self-care skills.
