Job Overview

AHRC Home Care Services, Inc., an affiliate of AHRC New York City, operates as a licensed home care services agency (LHCSA) delivering essential services throughout New York City's five boroughs and Nassau County.

We are currently in search of dedicated Home Health Aides (HHA's) and Personal Care Aides (PCA's). The compensation for this role is set at $19 per hour.

  • Engage within our Licensed Home Care Agency and Traumatic Brain Injury Program
  • Opportunities available in various boroughs
  • Flexible per-diem schedules available, accommodating up to 40 hours per week
  • Weekend shifts are available, including weekend-only schedules
  • Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply (i.e. *Spanish, *Russian, Creole, Mandarin)
  • Per-diem shifts offer excellent flexibility for students, those seeking additional employment, and individuals needing adaptable schedules.

  • We are looking for patient, empathetic, and team-oriented individuals to provide support to clients in their homes and communities.
  • Applicants should be willing to teach, offer guidance, solve problems, and assist with Activities of Daily Living (such as meal preparation, cleaning, and personal hygiene).
  • It is essential to ensure the safety and health of those supported while fostering skill development.

Qualifications
  • Experience with the I/DD population is preferred but not mandatory. AHRC NYC offers additional training for those beginning or transitioning in their careers.
  • Professionalism, integrity, excellent communication skills, patience, sensitivity, and a commitment to supporting individuals are essential.
  • Completion of certification in relevant areas: HHA, CNA, PCA
  • Experience with the TBI population is advantageous.
  • A willingness to support individuals' preferences for community involvement, activities, work, leisure, and the exercise of their rights in various settings is required.
