Job Summary

OU Health is seeking a highly skilled Medical Physicist to join our Radiation Oncology team. As a key member of our department, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and accuracy of radiation treatments for our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform periodic calibration of radiation generators and sources to ensure optimal treatment delivery.
  • Conduct quality assurance of radiation equipment, treatment planning systems, and record and verification systems to maintain high standards of patient care.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans for IMRT/3DCRT, including plan verification, physics calculations, and chart checks.
  • Verify doses and perform in vivo dosimetry, electron output measurements, and special imaging procedures as needed.
  • Collaborate with faculty physicists on academic activities and participate in shielding calculations and commissioning of special procedures.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Medical Physics, Physics, or a closely related field.
  • 1 year of clinical experience in radiation physics or 1 year of experience in an approved clinical medical physics graduate/residency program.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office tools.
