- Utilizes expertise and judgment to set and achieve objectives, performing a variety of tasks under general supervision. A degree of creativity and independence is expected, typically reporting to a physician or manager.
- Completion of an accredited radiation therapy program.
- Certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (A.R.R.T) or eligibility for registry in radiation therapy technology.
- Licensure by the State Department of Health Services.
- Familiarity with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the field of radiation therapy.
