Job Summary

The Forklift Operator is responsible for the efficient movement of materials from inventory to production and back to inventory. This role requires attention to detail and the ability to maintain accurate records.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate a forklift to transport materials within the production area
• Band, wrap, and pack finished goods, and label materials
• Move finished goods from the production area to the finished goods inventory yard or warehouse
• Assist production teams with bottlenecks and material needs
• Perform general preventive maintenance on equipment
• Complete pre-shift startup equipment checklist and report any issues
• Maintain a clean and organized inventory yard
• Complete production records as required
• Follow forklift rules and policies
• Participate in safety and continuous improvement programs

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• No minimum experience required, but forklift driving experience is a plus
• Working knowledge of basic math and inventory techniques
• Ability to successfully complete forklift driver licensing process
• Must be at least 18 years old
