Position Summary

The Field Operations Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing and managing the operations and maintenance of the sanitary sewer conveyance system and the water production/distribution system, which includes wells, tanks, and interconnects. This position requires a dedication to being available around the clock and working under various weather conditions.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Oversee the daily operations and maintenance of the water and sewer systems
  • Manage a dedicated team of six staff members and coordinate with external contractors to ensure the efficient operation of all facilities
  • Lead and support an established team, promoting a positive work environment while seeking to enhance processes and provide training
  • Engage professionally with customers, the public, developers, professional staff, and government agencies to address issues and ensure seamless operations
  • Be prepared for emergency situations and work in adverse weather conditions as necessary

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, science, or business
  • Comprehensive understanding of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic principles and applications
  • PA DEP operator certifications (or the ability to obtain within one year) relevant to Authority systems
  • Proven leadership skills with the capacity to manage and motivate a team
  • Strong problem-solving skills and effective professional communication abilities
  • Commitment to upholding high standards of service and operational excellence
