Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Cyber Systems Administration Advisor to join our team at Peraton. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing expert-level support for our cyber systems, ensuring the security and integrity of our infrastructure.

Responsibilities
  • Triage and review tickets submitted via Jira Service Desk to identify and resolve user issues in a timely manner.
  • Work tickets as necessary to resolve user issues, collaborating with other team members or organizations as required.
  • Coordinate with other team members or organizations to hand-off and coordinate resolution of issues, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration.
  • Perform patching and other after-hours maintenance tasks as necessary, ensuring the security and integrity of our systems.
  • Set up and manage backups of critical data to ensure business continuity.
  • Limited networking configuration and management to ensure secure and reliable connectivity.
  • Ensure security software is configured correctly and up-to-date, protecting our systems from cyber threats.
  • Resolve issues reported by users and other stakeholders, providing timely and effective solutions.
  • Write documentation to facilitate knowledge sharing between team members, reduce siloing, and minimize the bus/lottery factor.
  • Write proposals of changes to be reviewed by technical and/or government leadership, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
  • Write documentation of changes and fixes in tickets and internal wiki (Confluence) to allow repeat issues to be resolved quickly in the future.
Qualifications
  • Ten (10) years of experience as a SA in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required. A Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university is required, or (5) years of additional SA experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.
  • TS/SCI with polygraph is required.
  • DOD 8570 Required, preferably Security +.
  • Ability to think quickly and create solutions to resolve issues quickly.
  • Strong Linux or Windows administration background, with some knowledge of both.
  • Experience managing authentication tools like Active Directory, SSSD, KeyCloak, etc.
  • Experience working with virtualized systems in on-prem and cloud environments.
  • Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code tools like Ansible and Terraform.
  • Scripting experience with PowerShell, Bash, or other languages.
  • General understanding of networking concepts and configuration.
  • Experience with Atlassian tools like Jira and Confluence for task / knowledge management.

$146,000 - $234,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
