We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team at Stony Brook University Hospital. As a member of our Intensive Care Unit, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our patients and their families.
Job Summary
This position is responsible for providing direct patient care to critically ill patients in our Adult Intensive Care Unit. The successful candidate will possess excellent communication and critical thinking skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Assess patient needs and develop individualized care plans
Administer medications and perform various medical procedures
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care
Provide education and support to patients and their families
Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes
Requirements
To be considered for this position, applicants must possess a current New York State license to practice as a registered nurse. A Bachelor's degree in nursing is preferred, as is experience working in an acute care setting. BLS ACLS PALS certifications are also required.
